A menstrual cup applicator is a reusable tool designed to help you insert your menstrual cup smoothly, comfortably, and at the correct angle. It keeps your chosen fold (C-fold, punch-down, 7-fold) secure while guiding the cup into place, making insertion far easier — especially for beginners or anyone who prefers a more controlled approach.
- 02
Using the applicator becomes simple once you understand how the two parts work:
The two applicator pieces:
Outer Cradle (Holder): • Holds your folded menstrual cup securely • Keeps the fold tight and prevents the cup from opening too early
Inner Plunger (Slider): • Pushes the cup out of the cradle and into the vagina • Allows smooth, controlled, accurate placement
Step 1 — Fold & Load Fold your menstrual cup (C-fold or punch-down) and place it into the outer cradle, with the rim facing upwards and fully inside the cradle edge. Insert the inner plunger underneath, but do not push yet.
Step 2 — Position Yourself Sit, stand with one leg raised, or squat slightly. Relax your pelvic floor to make insertion easier.
Step 3 — Insert at the Correct Angle Hold the applicator at a 45° angle towards your tailbone. Insert only the top half of the cradle just inside the vaginal opening — not the entire applicator.
Step 4 — Push & Release Once the cradle is in the correct position, gently press the plunger to slide the cup out. Stop as soon as the cup leaves the cradle.
Step 5 — Remove & Check Remove the applicator. Ensure the cup has opened by checking for a rounded base, giving a small twist if needed, and lightly tugging the stem to confirm the seal.

The Indulge applicator is compatible with most extra small, small and medium menstrual cups, including the Indulge Cup. It works best with soft-to-medium firmness cups. Cups that are very large, very firm, or unusually shaped may not fit comfortably in the cradle.
- 04
Not necessarily — many women insert their cup manually. However, an applicator can be extremely beneficial if you: • Are new to menstrual cup use • Prefer a cleaner, more guided insertion • Have long nails • Find folds difficult to hold • Struggle with the correct angle or depth
It offers more comfort, confidence, and control.
- 05
Yes — the Indulge applicator is crafted from medical‑grade, body‑safe materials that are BPA‑free and designed for intimate use.
For hygiene, simply:
• Wash with warm water and an unscented, mild soap after each use
• Allow to dry thoroughly before storing
This ensures both your applicator and your menstrual cup remain safe and hygienic.
- 06
Yes — if you have a tilted or retroverted uterus, the Indulge applicator can be a real game‑changer. By guiding the cup along that slight backward angle, it helps you find a placement that’s comfortable, accurate, and sits just right under your cervix.
Having a tilted or “tipped” uterus is more common than you might think — it simply means the uterus tilts toward the back rather than forward. Because our anatomy is beautifully varied, this slight shift in angle is totally normal.
When your cervix is tipped or a little lower than usual, achieving a perfect seal with a menstrual cup can feel tricky. That’s where the applicator comes in — designed to make that angle feel less like a hurdle and more like a helpful guide. The result? A cup that sits securely, comfortably, and gives you the kind of reliable fit you deserve.
- 07
It shouldn’t hurt. The Indulge applicator is designed to be smooth, slim, and gentle. If you feel any discomfort, try these simple tips: • Use a small amount of water‑based lubricant to help the applicator glide in more smoothly. • Slow down the insertion — take a moment, breathe, and let your body relax. • Try adjusting the angle slightly — sometimes a minor change in direction makes all the difference.
Comfort always comes first — you deserve to feel at ease during insertion. If it doesn’t feel comfortable, pause, reassess and try again until it feels right for you.

To keep your product in top condition and maintain excellent hygiene:
• Rinse immediately after use
• Wash gently with a mild, fragrance‑free soap
• Let it air dry completely
• Then store in a clean, dry area
- 09
Yes — you’re totally safe using a water‑based lubricant, and it can make things a lot smoother and more comfortable.
Just keep in mind: skip the oil‑based ones when you’re using silicone items like your cup or our applicator — over time they can wear the material down or affect how well things work.
- 10
Absolutely. It’s designed to make the introduction to menstrual cups easier and less stressful. It provides: • Better control • A consistent insertion angle • Less chance of the fold opening too early • A cleaner, more confident experience
Perfect for new users or anyone who wants extra reassurance.

A menstrual‑cup applicator gives you the familiar control of a tampon applicator, but with all the advantages of a reusable menstrual cup. It’s: • More sustainable — you’re reusing instead of disposing • More cost‑effective — fewer purchases over time • Designed for long‑term use — built to last and perform • Better for the environment — less waste going to landfill • Ideal for achieving a secure cup seal and reducing leaks — making use easier and more reliable
You get ease and control without disposable waste. While the mechanism is similar to a tampon applicator, the size and construction are specifically larger to accommodate the menstrual cup, meaning you cannot use them interchangeably with standard tampon applicators.

Yes — our applicator truly adapts to your unique anatomy. • If you have a high cervix, it helps guide the cup confidently into place without you having to strain or reach too far. • If you have a low cervix, it gives you precise depth control so the cup doesn’t sit too high or feel uncomfortable. • It’s designed for both situations — helping you find a comfortable fit regardless of your cervix height. • Because your cervix can shift slightly throughout your cycle, our applicator gives you that extra flexibility and peace of mind. • In short: it’s all about comfort, control, and confidence — helping your cup sit snugly and work reliably, no matter how your body is built.
Whether you’re just getting started or you’ve used menstrual cups before, we’ve made this tool for you — so you can trust your fit, feel stable, and go about your day worry‑free.
- 13
You can check that your cup is seated correctly by doing a few simple steps: • Gently rotate the cup at the base — if it moves freely, it means it has fully opened and formed the seal. • Run a fingertip around the base to feel for any folds or dents — smooth and round means a proper fit. • Give a light tug on the stem — if there’s some resistance and the cup stays in place, that’s a good sign of suction. • Look out for any creases, dents or folds in the cup — if you find any, the seal might not be fully formed.
When your cup is fully open and seals correctly, you’ll get that reliable, leak‑free fit you’re aiming for — so you can go about your day with confidence and comfort.
